The guide to integrating keywords within your website

Despite the plethora of information available online about keywords and SEO, many people do it wrong when it comes to integrating keywords. Just because of wrong keyword integration, a website can get horrific search engine ranking which is a disaster for any modern business in Melbourne, Australia. If you need to know how to integrate keywords properly, read on this article!

The hardest part of keyword integration, to be frank, is finding the correct keywords related to your business in Melbourne, Australia. Once you have them in hand, integration is pretty easy and it is all about following the guidelines provided below.

Know where to use keywords

Don’t think that stuffing keywords everywhere will do the job for you. It is an utter waste of time to repeat keywords at your will. Apart from that, such approach can lead towards a penalisation by Google algorithms. If your content is disturbed with random keyword integration, the quality of the content will be dropped drastically. Therefore, make sure to limit the keywords to few specific areas such as;

  • Title tag of the page
  • Within the first paragraph
  • Title of the article or the blog
  • Anchor Text

Maintain the correct density

It is not good to repeat keywords as much as possible within the article. Repeating a keyword 40 times within 400-word content will not do any good for you as it would be identified as ‘keyword stuffing’ and you are likely to get penalised by search engine algorithms for such case.

So, you should be smart enough to limit the keyword density to 2-3% of the content. However, this doesn’t necessarily mean that it is mandatory to repeat the keyword 2-3 times in each 100 words; be sure that you don’t exceed the limit.

What you should do is to maintain the natural flow of the textual content. In simplest terms, once the content is written with the keywords, it should sound natural to the reader. Irrelevant, senseless keywords will destroy the quality of content.

Determine the amount of content you should have

Well, this is a tricky question. The amount of text you should use might depend on the product or the service you are trying to promote. Therefore, no one can tell you the exact number of words you should use in a web page. However, in general, it is good to have at least 300 words per page. You may add more content but don’t add text just because you want ‘more text’; do it meaningfully. Also, if you want more content with your keywords, you can maintain a blog linked to your website and have any number of useful articles in it.

Your text should be; Fresh, natural, persuasive, unique and relevant to the industry.
